Jubaland Council of Ministers Discusses Security and Development

The President of the Jubaland State, H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today chaired the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers, focusing on security issues, tax transparency, the results achieved in the Kismayo water supply project, the use of solar energy, and the overall political situation of the country.

First, the Ministry of Internal Security presented a report on the security situation, highlighting efforts to strengthen ongoing operations by the Jubaland forces, which have achieved tangible successes in recent weeks.

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development reported on reforms being made to the tax system to unify procedures and increase transparency in operations.

The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources briefed the Council on the progress of the Kismayo water supply project and the solar energy project, both of which are proceeding smoothly.

The Ministry of Health and Social Care reported on the state of health services, the outcomes of the Jubaland health investment conference, and the implementation of a reimbursement system in Jubaland hospitals.

Finally, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management presented a report on the drought situation, recent rainfall, and preparedness for emergency conditions.
