The President of the Jubaland State Government, H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Jubaland State Government, during which various issues were discussed.
First, the Council of Ministers conducted an in-depth analysis and discussion on the overall situation of the country and recent developments, with particular focus on political matters, the direction the country is heading, and the role that the Jubaland State Government can play in contributing to solutions for the complex challenges facing the country.
The Ministry of Security briefed the Council on the latest operations carried out by the Jubaland State Forces, in cooperation with the Somali National Army (SNA), in the Middle Juba region, which resulted in tangible successes.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management shared with the Council a report on the severe situation caused by droughts affecting areas of Jubaland, as well as ongoing efforts to mitigate the impact of the drought. The report highlighted the work accomplished so far and the efforts being undertaken by the special drought emergency response committee.
