- Develops and implements the state’s communication strategy to promote transparency, public awareness, and citizen engagement.
- Oversees official public relations, media engagement, and press releases for the Government of Jubaland State.
- Coordinates internal and external communications across all government ministries, departments, and agencies.
- Manages the state’s official website and social media platforms to ensure timely and accurate information sharing.
- Produces multimedia content, including speeches, press kits, newsletters, and public service announcements.
- Organizes press conferences, media briefings, and public outreach events.
- Monitors media coverage and prepares reports to support informed decision-making by government leadership.
- Facilitates communication between the state government, the public, and international partners.
- Ensures government messaging is consistent, clear, and aligned with state policies and priorities.
- Provides communications support and training for government spokespersons and officials.
Director of Communications
Mohamed Hassan Hiis
Mohamed is the Director of Communications for the Office of the President of Jubaland State, where he leads the government’s public relations, media strategy, and information dissemination efforts.
In this capacity, he oversees official communications between the state government, the media, and the public, ensuring transparency, clarity, and alignment with Jubaland’s policies and priorities.
Before this role, Mohamed built an extensive career in broadcast media, serving as a prominent journalist and media professional with Jubaland TV.
