Jubaland President Holds Meeting with AFRICOM Special Operations Officers

Jubaland President, H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Islam, held a meeting with Special Operations Officers who are part of the United States Government’s AFRICOM mission operating in Jubaland.

The President expressed his appreciation to the officers for their cooperation in the area of security, particularly in training and counterterrorism operations, and for their important role in recent operations that resulted in the defeat of Al Shabab in various areas of Jubaland.

The President commended the AFRICOM Special Operations officers for their professionalism and cooperation, and formally presented them with Medals of Honor and Certificates of Appreciation in recognition of their significant contribution to supporting security efforts in Jubaland.
