Kismayo, Jubaland – H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today received in Kismayo the Ambassador of the United States of America to Somalia, His Excellency Richard H. Riley, and the delegation he is leading on a working visit to Jubaland.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Interior and the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation alongside the President, the two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of security, U.S. support for development projects, and the general political situation in the country as well as the state-building process in Somalia.
